Competencies: Applications and Best Practices (CABP) is a professional organization dedicated to learning and sharing the latest thinking and information on competency models and their application into strategic business practices. Identifying the business context needed to ground the competency development process and to clarify the priority of applications is a key challenge. Applications that are shared include talent management, development planning, interviewing and selection, performance management, assessment, career planning, and many others.
CABP offers professional development programs with distinguished human resource scholars, practitioners, and business leaders. Practitioners, professionals, and experts discuss the latest research, tools, and applications for leadership development and competencies. State-of-the-art development and successful implementation technologies are showcased. Examples of competency models and their applications are exchanged for learning and active discussion.
We facilitate networks of individuals from multiple industries to exchange leading-edge ideas, information, and experiences using competency models. Practical applications, lessons learned, success stories, and pitfalls to avoid from leading competency and leadership case studies are exchanged to facilitate sharing of best practice information. Participants are from multiple varied industries and organizations to facilitate lively debate and different viewpoints.
